Bishop O. L. Meadows
Jurisdictional Prelate
Alabama First
In 1991, Presiding Bishop L. H. Ford appointed the Honorable Bishop O. L. Meadows as Jurisdictional Prelate of the
First Jurisdiction of Alabama. Through the dynamic Leadership of Bishop Meadows, Alabama First has made
tremendous progress. Many local facilities have been improved in many areas of the State. The Lord blessed Bishop
Meadows and the saints of Alabama First to purchase a new Jurisdictional Headquarters in the Brighton, Alabama area.
The headquarters, affectionately known as "Holy Hill," is located on eighteen acres in the metropolitan area containing
more than thirty houses. The headquarters' area includes a sanctuary that seats approximately 4500, a fellowship hall with
a state of the art kitchen that comfortably seats 500, an office building (C.H. Mason System of Bible Colleges), the
Bishop's suite, six offices, and a large conference room. The saints of Alabama First Jurisdiction are Godly proud of our
heritage and our endeavor is to continue to do kingdom work until kingdom comes. Bishop Meadows is the pastor of
Emanuel Temple Church of God in Christ in Birmingham, Alabama. He has served in this capacity for over 35 years.
He is married to Joe Ann Meadows. They have two sons: Oscar, Jr. and Elder Jason Meadows. They are the proud
grandparents of one grandson.
